I spent a lovely weekend for my brother's graduation from Lakehead University with his Master of Science in Forestry! Congratulations to him! Thunder Bay was great and I ate way too much food - but it was all delicious!!

Visiting Ottawa
I was in Ottawa for a meeting and this allowed me to stay a few days with my friend, the Singer. This is the view from her apartment - a fabulous location with a view of Parliament.
When my meeting was done I had a nice walk along the Rideau Canal. It was a beautiful day.
This is apparently a new footbridge. It was very usefully placed. I really like bridges - especially how they look from underneath. (Note to self - you could a whole series of posts on bridges:)

Sunny days and train rides!
Okay, apparently my forte is going to be taking pictures from trains and buses! Perhaps, this comes from my childhood when I spent many happy hours on family vacations staring out the window. I suspect that the fact that this is the time when I have to sit and contemplate while watching the passing landscape also helps. From an aesthetic point of view, I like the effect of the window reflection from the other side of the bus that comes through on some of the pictures.
You can see that it is not very green yet - I am waiting for the leaves on the trees to come out. But the ice is gone and the summer season is waiting to start.
