On our way to taking Kellie back to her plane in Paris, we stopped at Vaux-le-Vicomte. This was good but our car was broken into and Kellie's passport was stolen. It was later sent back to her in Canada.
We were taking Kellie back to Paris to get her plane when we visited Vaux le Vicomte. When we got back to our car we realized that it had been broken into. The only thing taken was Kellie's small bag (to carry on the plane) with her passport, plane ticket and her music tapes. So when we got to Paris we had to get her another passport. It was the Easter weekend and the Canadian Embassy was closed. But there was an emergency person available. We had to get a picture of Kellie and then the official issued her a onetime entry paper. Then we tried to get a replacement airline ticket but no travel agent would help us. So we went to the airport and we explained to the ticket agent the problem. She sent to us another person. I held up my credit card to pay for another ticket (we would eventually get our money back) when he asked how we had paid for the first ticket. When I said with the same credit card he took it and ran it through the machine and a replacement ticket appeared, no charge! That was a bit of very, very good luck.
