30 May 1989: Geneva and Grenoble

We spent the day looking around Geneva and touring the United Nations before heading to Grenoble where we spent the night.

29 May 1989: Good-bye Dijon! Welcome to our last month in Europe, first stop: Geneva

Drove to Geneva and camped there for the night.  We all became experts at packing the car.  Invariably the frying pan and the colander proved the most problematic for storing - you can see in the photo below that my Dad found one useful place to store it out of the way, though perhaps not so practical. The ducks were very friendly in Geneva.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

This would have been on one of our last days in the apartment before leaving Dijon.
This was their 22nd Wedding Anniversary.

Eclaireurs

This was some of the best advice that we got - to join the Eclaireurs not the Scouts or Guides.  Of course it took us a while when they showed up at our door telling us that they were the scoots what they were there for.  Andrew and I went almost every weekend for a hike around Dijon.  We also went camping, cross-country skiing in the Alps and attended their 2nd national gathering in Paris.  They were a great group and we had lots of fun.  They definitely had different safety standards than we had been used to it.

College Clos de Pouilly - School Work

I definitely learned many things at school - including how to write notes.  And yes I am a keeper and still have many of my notes.

College Clos de Pouilly

This is the school that Andrew and I went to.  The being locked on the campus was a new wrinkle.  It was definitely an interesting experience. Here's the outside of the building and my brother with his classmates.
