Strasbourg

Strasbourg is a beautiful city with a gorgeous cathedral.  We visited my Dad's colleague and his wife who were there for a visit.  While my parents had dinner with them the three children went to dinner on our own.

We drove to Strasbourg for a weekend. We met Data and Sarah Pillay there. We were late arriving and they had to wait for two hours on a street. Data was there as a guest scholar and there was a small apartment at the university of them. Data had had a quadruple by-pass some months earlier and Sarah told me how she had prayed for him. She is Hindu. We had dinner with them and some German friends of theirs. The daughter in the family was anxious to practice her English and talled a lot. They were nice people. Meanwhile Jane, Charlotte and Andrew went to a restaurant on their own and had a good time. Data wanted us to try the local delicacy which is a variety of small sausage links in a bun. We did and they were good. The old part of the city is lovely and the Cathedral was impressive. Note the children on the balcony type passage high above the city.
